Singing Safari - September 2011 |
The 2010 Safari to the Marshwood Vale took us along some of the narrowest winding lanes in West Dorset through the most beautiful countryside. Our first stop was Fishponds where we had a quick glimpse at the medieval stew ponds before moving on to Hawkchurch and lunch at the excellent Old Inn. Suitably refreshed, we wound our way to Wootton Fitzpaine and finally to Whitchurch Canonicorum. It was clear that the day was enjoyed by both choir and audiences and a collection for our favourite charity - Julia’s House, Dorset's children's hospice - was taken throughout the day. We would like to thank everyone who contributes to the success of our Safaris - route-masters, churchwardens, audiences and singers as well as our kind hosts for lunch and tea. Fine music can enhance any occasion - if you would like Parnham Voices to provide music at your event, be it a wedding, dinner, memorial service or fund-raising concert, please email
