Parnham Voices is a small chamber choir formed in 2002, the singers coming from a wide area centred on Beaminster, Dorset. We sing all types of music for unaccompanied voices - medieval to modern, sacred and secular - including masses and motets, anthems and folk songs, Victorian pieces and evergreens from the 20's and 30's.

In 2009, we made a return to the Beaminster Festival with a lunchtime concert in July. Other concerts included Haselbury Plucknett in April, Coombe St Nicholas in June andSoiuth Perrott in October, while in August we embarked on our annual Singing Safari to some of the smaller churches in the Melbury Team.

This spring we have introduced several new pieces to our repertoire: Shenandoah, Dashing away with the smoothing iron - and Gorecki's Totus tuus which was written for Pope John Paul II's third pilgramage to his homeland in 1987.

In January we began rehearsing for a performance at St Michael's, Lyme Regis to celebrate the new organ there and a return visit to Frome St Quinton on the afternoon of April 25th.

Saturday 8th May sees us in St Mary's, Beaminster, in a joint concert with the Ridgeway Chorale from Tring and on June 5th we visit Chideock for a concert in the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs, and St. Ignatius.
