Our informal and informative, quarterly magazine. Approx.50 pages of
articles by members, amateurs and professional, sharing their knowledge
and experience. It includes book reviews, book offers, letters page, cottage

Seed Exchange |
An opportunity to obtain seed donated by other members - and send in
your own surplus seed. 12 packets of seed for just £3.00 handling
charge, from a list of over 2,000 plants. | ||

Garden visits |
We produce an annual booklet of members' Gardens to Visit, with a list of Village "Garden Open" days throughout the UK. We also organise national garden visits in different parts of the country. | ||

Plant Sales |

Regional Groups
|
Over 30 regional groups hold their
own meetings, visits, and plant sales. We also have a group for dedicated
"galanthophiles", the Snowdrop Group, and a lively Correspondence
Group. |

Garden Shows
|
The Society has publicity stands at several
garden shows each year, such as the RHS Show at Tatton Park, Gardeners'
World Live etc. In 2001, the CGS won a Silver-Gilt medal for the cottage
garden at Chelsea Flower Show. |

CGS Notelets
|
The Society has two attractive designs of CGS Notelets portaying cottage gardens. They are colour-printed, but blank inside, so they can be used as gifts, or for birthdays, as thank-you notes etc. The cards are available, with envelopes, in packs of 5 for £1.00. | ||
|
Plant Heritage
|
The CGS takes part in HDRA's Adopt a Veg scheme,
and members help to maintain supplies of Tomato 'Tangella', some peas and
beans. |
